About Herencia Cultural Cubana
We are a non-profit organization established in Miami, Florida, United States of America, on January 22, 1994, with the purpose of educating, preserving and promoting the cultural and historical values of the Cuban Nation for present and future generations.
Wherever Cubans or their descendants reside, we all share a rich cultural legacy and heritage that we must share and have the responsibility to conserve and care for, as a link in our history and identity.
The magazine «Herencia», published during these twenty-five years, is our most important voice. We also organize and offer a series of conferences and symposia throughout the year, where Cuba, in its diverse cultural facets, is the main theme. Herencia Cultural Cubana awards the Premio Herencia to those figures who have stood out in their work for Cuba. The Freedom Prize is awarded every two years to a person who has done an extraordinary job as a Cuban and for the good of Cuba.
As a non-profit organization, our operating funds come from members and donors, since most of our cultural activities are free to the public.
We invite you to become a member or donor of our organization through the Palmas de Herencia, so that you can also participate with us in this work of sharing our rich heritage, allowing us to continue this important objective for the future of Cuba. Thank you very much
